Telehealth in facilities
In response to lessons learned in the pandemic, our team developed Virginia IMPACT to collaborate with facilities to optimize telehealth as a tool for infection mitigation, prevention, and control. Through a data-driven, stepwise approach, we aim to establish routine, competent telehealth operations in congregate care communities so that this technology is at the ready for future emergencies and infectious disease outbreaks that may limit the movement of staff and care recipients.
Age-inclusive Telehealth
When done well, telehealth can serve as a tool to increase access to care. Age-inclusive telehealth programs are essential to ensure that telehealth programs are patient centered; integrated and coordinated; and improve equity and accessibility of healthcare.
